PMTA leadership monitors legislation that will affect our members and works with government agencies including the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and more.

PMTA’s Safety Management Council (SMC) meets monthly to discuss regulatory updates, best practices and highlight companies with services that could benefit your business. SMC hosts the annual PA Truck Driving Championships, honors exceptional truck drivers through the Drivers of the Month program and offers programming, events and awards for safety professionals. PMTA also has an Allied Committee, Annual Membership Conference (AMC) Committee, Chapter Relations Committee, Legislative Committee, NextGen Committee, Nominating Committee and PAC Management Committee.

PMTA’s Road Team is made up of professional drivers who speak about safety, the trucking industry and careers before schools, civic groups, the media and others.
