Phil has been a PMTA Lancaster Chapter member since 1995 and is a past president of the Lancaster Chapter and Chairman of the Legislative Committee. He is also a partner with Hess Auctioneers, 1451 River RD Marietta, Pa 17547, which has been a PMTA member since 2009. He served on the Penn Ag State Board in the mid-nineties. Phil has been involved in the transportation industry since 1991.

Tom Jacques grew up the son of a truck driver who became a fleet owner. He enlisted in the US Army where he served in the 3^rd US Infantry as an escort to the President. After his honorable discharge he joined Pittsburgh Police, where he formed the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement team. While leading the team, he was asked to serve as president of the local committee with the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance. He was also invited to join the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administrations, Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee. Retiring from law enforcement in 2012, Tom accepted a position as the Director of Risk and Compliance to oversee the safety and training departments in the flatbed industry. Tom started with Waste Management in March of 2018 where he is currently the Director of DOT compliance for a fleet of 23,000 CDL required vehicles.

Scott joined FedEx’s Government Affairs team in December 2008. He works out of Harrisburg, PA and manages FedEx’s state and local lobbying effort for Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Ohio, and West Virginia. Before Joining FedEx, he held the position of Director of Government Affairs for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. Scott currently serves on the board of trustees for Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, and West Virginia Trucking Associations and is an active member of the American Trucking Association. Scott resides in McClure, PA with his wife and 4 children. In addition, he serves on the board of trustees for a local Christian school.

Brian Wanner was raised on a farm in Fleetwood, PA where his father had a small fleet of trucks. Once graduated from high school, Brian got his CDL and went to work on the dock at a freight company. At the age of 21, Brian started driving for Roadway. In 1993, he started as a dispatcher at Peters Brothers Inc., where he worked his way up to Operations Manager and now, President and CEO. Brian is a member of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of PMTA. He is also Chairman of the Board of Supervisors at Richmond Township and holds Presidency for an Insurance Captive that Peter Brothers Inc. is a member of.

Becky is a Past Chairman of PMTA’s Board of Directors and a member of the Lancaster Chapter. Becky was Chairman of the Budget Committee and Safety Committee and has served on the Membership/Chapter Relations Committee and the Bylaws Committee and currently serves on the Legislative Committee and Budget Committee. She is a Past President of the Lancaster Chapter. Becky is also a Past Chairman of the Truck Driving Championships (TDC) Committee and has received the Safety Director of the Year award. Lester R. Summers, Inc. has been a member of PMTA since 1950. Rebecca has been a member of PMTA since 1987.

Beth is a member of the York/Adams Chapter and has served on the Board of Directors since 2003. Beth is also currently serving as the Chair of the Chapter Relations Committee of the PMTA. In the past, Beth has served as both Secretary and President for the York/Adams Chapter and served on the Legislative Committee. She has been a participant in the Call on Washington. Beth has been a member of PMTA since 1998.

Dan is currently a Board Member of the PMTA Philadelphia/Delaware Chapter and sits on the PMTA Board of Directors. Dan has been a member of PMTA since 2004. Dan has worked at The H&K Group since 1987, having started his career as a shop mechanic. Over the last 30 years, Dan has continued to refine his mechanical operations and management skills to presently oversee all licensed on-road vehicles as The H&K Group’s Fleet Superintendent. The H&K Group has been a member of PMTA since 1980.

From Senior Account Executive to Vice President of Transportation, and eventually to Transportation Lead, Steven's career trajectory is a testament to his dedication and resilience. Matt is a Past Chairman of the Membership/Chapter Relations Committee and the Safety/Carrier Committee. He is a Past President of the Central Chapter and Past Secretary/Treasurer on the chapter Board. Matt is also a Past Chairman of the Pennsylvania State Truck Driving Championships Committee. He was the Safety Director at his family trucking company from 1993 until 2014, and he continued working in safety and recruiting until April 2021 when he joined Primacy Risk Services. He serves Primacy’s trucking customers by assisting with after-hours, real time accident investigation. He has been a member of PMTA since 1996.

Dana has been a member of PMTA and the Safety Management Council (SMC), since the early 1990s. She has been active in the Truck Driving Championships (TDC), chairing and participating in many committees. Dana was the Chairperson of the Safety Management Council (SMC) in 2003 and 2004, and in 2003 she was the Chairperson of the PA Truck Driving Championships (TDC) Committee. In 2006, Dana was the recipient of the Edward Gogolin Award presented by PMTA/SMC. She currently sits on the Chapter Relations Committee and Legislative Committee and has attended most Board meetings for several years.

He has been a member of the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association for the past 15 years and currently sits on the Philadelphia Chapter Board of Governors.

Emerson has been with Hauck Logistics and part of the trucking/transportation industry since graduating college in 2015. His involvement with PMTA began in 2016 when he was invited to attend local meetings with the York/Adams Chapter. Shortly thereafter, Hauck Logistics joined PMTA and Emerson joined the York/Adams Board. With the support and guidance from his fellow board members and Chapter officials, Emerson was elected the Vice President of the York/Adams Chapter in 2019. Emerson continues to be an advocate for the trucking industry not only through PMTA but also by bridging the gap with the community and local schools. He strives to show future generations the important role that our industry plays not only in our current society, but our future.

Bob is a former fleet owner that joined Ward Transport and Logistics in 2018 as the Director of Linehaul Operations and is currently the Vice President of Maintenance, Safety and Recruiting.

Dale has been involved with PMTA since 1989, as a driver in the Truck Driving Championships (TDC). In 2002, Dale became a member of PMTA Road Team, and has been a PMTA member ever since. Dale is currently President of the Northwest Chapter. He is currently on the Board of Directors of PMTA. Dale is the founder of the Erie County SDC. Dale is the Chairman for Chapter Relations Committee, he also serves on the PA TruckPAC Committee and the NextGen Committee. He served as Chairman of the SDC Committee for Safety Management Council (SMC). Dale was also winner of the PMTA President's Award in 2022. Dale has been a driver 43 years and in the trucking industry for 48 years. He was also the 2020 runner up as Lytx Coach of the Year. Dale is the Safety Specialist at Vorzik Transport, Inc. Dale’s goal is to improve membership for PMTA and help improve the image and the safety of the trucking industry.

As a member of PMTA’s Board, Doug leads the NextGen Committee and created the PA Trucking FFWD program. He was Chairperson of the PMTA Safety Management Council from 2011-2013 and has been Treasurer since 2016. He was Secretary-Treasurer of the South Central Chapter from 2009 to 2015 and was on the Chapter Board from 2004-2017. He earned his CDL in 2004. Doug was recently honored with the ATA Safety Leadership Award and was named to the ATRI advisory board. Doug is a member of ATA Safety Council, CVSA, NTTC, TANY, and Arkansas Trucking Assoc. He is also a member of TIDA, Transportation Lawyers Assoc., and Canadian Transportation Lawyers Assoc. Doug has written numerous articles and made several presentations about the legal aspects of trucking.

After graduating high school, he pursued a different path in transportation, flying. Graduating from an aeronautical university, he is a certificated commercial pilot and flight instructor, but circumstances and opportunities brought him back to the family trucking business. Starting as a full-time employee in 2005, Justin has worked in every capacity of the business and currently oversees operations as Vice-President. Justin is the current President of the Northeast Chapter of PMTA. He resides in Sugarloaf, PA with his wife and son.

Jeff is currently the Vice President of Safety & Risk at PITT OHIO, LLC. During Jeff’s 33-year tenure with PITT OHIO, the company has won numerous safety awards presented by the American Trucking Association and State Associations. He is the current Chairman of the American Trucking Association’s Regulations Committee and a member of Bendix Corporation Fleet Council. Additionally, he is a board member of CCAC’s Educational Program for Trucking. Previously, Jeff was the President of Pennsylvania’s Motor Truck Association Southwest Chapter. Jeff Mercadante attended West Virginia University where he majored in Business Management.
