CVSA published the statistics for Brake Safety Week.  Thirteen per cent of the vehicles inspected were placed out of service due to brake violations.  The leading violations were hose related.  The only way to avoid this kind of problem is through drivers performing top-notch pre-trip inspections as well as a good maintenance program.  It is much easier to repair and replace items in your shop than it is on the roadside as well as much less expensive.
